Water as a therapeutic tool

Water is, in fact, everywhere in our lives and is an essential component of our survival. They are in the air we breathe, in the rocks, in the earth and inside the earth’s shell. The water covers about 70 percent of the earth’s surface. Our lives begin with water, which is the only way to make life possible. Once the sperm fertilizes the egg, the water makes up 95 percent of the fertilized egg. In the body of an adult, water makes up about 70 percent of his body. Water poses a challenge to researchers, who are trying to solve its unique properties. The texture of the water is constantly changing and is in constant motion. The viscosity of the water works exactly the opposite of the rest of the liquids. The water is still a mystery.

Water transfers energy

Whether it’s radio waves, electricity, or any other energy, water is an excellent conductor. Among the researchers of water, is Dr. Masaro Amoto. An extraordinary researcher, who in his book “Messages from the Water”, a recommended and exciting book for all water lovers, shows us how the structure and quality of water changes in different situations. Unharmonic music or curses can ruin the quality of clear water, and vice versa. Words of love and harmonious music can improve water quality.
In the ancient world, healing spells used to be written on vessels that contained liquids, in the belief that the virtues of the spell would be absorbed into the liquid in the vessel and passed on to the person who drank from it. When we stop for a moment, before sipping and welcome the drink, we raise its qualities. Our body, which contains mostly water, is also affected by the music we hear, the words that are directed at us and the environment in which we are. Many studies show the dangerous effects of daily stress on our body.

Water treatments

Water treatments are a great way to release the physical and mental stresses in our body. When our body is in the water, we feel better, lighter, cleaner and more optimistic. Muscles can “rest” and physical and mental stress decreases. Water improves our feeling not only while immersed in them, but also by simply observing them or listening to the sounds of their flow. Most of us would rather stay close to water sources. In many resorts, swimming pools, ornamental pools and fountains are built to increase the attraction to them.
In the 20th century, there was a gradual increase in the use of water as a therapeutic tool, and the industry of hydrotherapy began to develop. Hydrotherapy has been defined as a pool treatment program, designed to improve patient functioning in all areas of life. Over time, a number of therapeutic techniques have evolved, among them, the Wuatsu method, developed in the 1980s by Harold Dahl.

Watsu - Back to the womb

A unique treatment method, based on the art of Shiatsu. Shiatsu treatment releases blocked energy along the energy channels in the body, which carry the life energy – the CHI. The heat of the water and their buoyancy force allow the patient’s spine to move freely, without pressure. The patient lies on his back, supported by the therapist and the water. The movement is slow and gentle, in coordination with the patient’s breathing rate. In a state where stress is neutralized, the release of life energy is allowed and it begins to move along the spine, thus, creating physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
For many people the watsu experience is not only physically pleasant but also opens them up emotionally. Whether it’s a laugh, a smile or a cry, something in the heart opens up. Many patients report the feeling of a fetus in the womb or baby in the hands of its mother. Our body remembers staying in the womb. As shown in the book “Messages from the Water”, water has a memory. When a person allows himself to dedicate himself and experience a gentle and loving misting in the water, he goes through a healing experience. Beyond the physical benefits of the technique on the spine and joints, the essence of the Watsu method is love. The patient’s body floats weightlessly in the water, which envelops him in a feeling of love and security, absorbing this positive energy. The effectiveness of the method is now recognized all over the world and it has been introduced as a therapeutic technique in many medical centers.
